We stayed here and had a great time, so it seemed only fair to include it in our tour.

About 5 to 10 minutes walk from the main street of Scala, on the sea front, the hotel was in a fantastic spot. The apartments were set out like a small village and were really tasteful, with flowers and gardens everywhere. Our apartment was clean and spacious, with a lovely little balcony, although the "self catering" facilities weren't great: there was no room to prepare any food and the kettle lead trailed over the cooker rings.

The pool was lovely and the pool bar staff were skilled and friendly. We got quite squiffy, quite often over cocktails and I seem to remember dancing rather too energetically after far too many huge brandies. We occasionally used the restaurant too which was fine.

I would definitely recommend it especially if you're travelling without children. It's more of an adult place, really.

Tip: grab your sun lounger early. By the time we returned from photography each afternoon, there were never any left!
