The sea at Agia Efimia
Much of Kefalonia was destryed by an earthquake in 1053 and had to be completely re-built. Ag Ef is a typical example of a town which had to start again from scratch. It is very new and seems quite prosperous.

There were plenty of restaurants along the front, catering for the flotillas of tourist yachts from the Greek Island sailing holiday companies. A quiet, picturesque little spot when we were there. However, the road from Argostoli is a good one, so I imagine it can get busy in the peak season.
