Assos

We found this monastery down a little track off the main road, which runs east to west from Scala to Argostoli. Just as we arrived, the midday bells chimed. Great timing. To the south, lie a plethora of lovely beaches, including Kaminia and Kiriaki. To the north, the mountains. You can just see the last of the early morning clouds before the heat of the sun burnt them away.
