Assos

A beautiful location, Assos is a small fishing village on a tiny north-facing bay, just up the western coast from Argostoli and from Mirtos Beach.

There is a tiny peninsular, with a castle on top of a hill. To be honest, we did intend to climb up for a photo, but it was hot, and we were thirsty, and it was lunchtime, so all you can see is the view part way up from the scented pine forests. If you really want the view from the top you'll just have to use your imagination or go there yourself. Sorry.

There is a tiny, weeny, little beach at Assos, but it's more of a place to soak in the atmosphere and enjoy a bite to eat and drink.
